Health Data Disclosure

This page describes exactly what data Yoke reads from and writes to your phone’s health platform, why, and your options. It exists as a stable URL referenced from the App Store and Play Store data-safety listings.

iOS — Apple HealthKit

What we read (only with your explicit permission)

  • Body Mass — to track weight trends that inform program intensity.
  • Resting Heart Rate — as a proxy for recovery; influences next-week load.
  • Sleep Analysis — total sleep hours per night; influences recovery-based pacing.
  • Active Energy Burned — to estimate weekly training volume.
  • Step Count — to estimate non-training activity.

What we write (only with your explicit permission)

  • Workout (Functional Strength Training) — when you complete a session in Yoke, we save it as a workout in the Health app so it appears on your Apple Watch activity ring and in Fitness.
  • Active Energy Burned — an estimate for the workout duration.

What we do not access

Yoke does not read or write blood glucose, electrocardiogram, blood pressure, cycle tracking, mindful minutes, nutrition, oxygen saturation, body temperature, or any other category not listed above. We do not access Health records.

How to revoke

Open SettingsPrivacy & Security HealthYoke and turn any category off. The change takes effect immediately. Previously stored signals can be deleted from inside the Yoke app under Settings → Privacy.

Android — Health Connect

What we read (only with your explicit permission)

  • Weight
  • Resting Heart Rate
  • Sleep Session (duration only)
  • Active Calories Burned
  • Steps

What we write (only with your explicit permission)

  • Exercise Session (Strength Training) — for each completed Yoke workout.
  • Active Calories Burned — estimated for the workout duration.

How to revoke

Open the Health Connect app → App permissions Yoke and toggle any category off. The change takes effect immediately. Previously stored signals can be deleted from inside the Yoke app.

Why we use this data

The weekly program generator uses these signals to adjust intensity, recovery pacing, and accessory volume. None of the data leaves your phone except (a) summary signals (the numbers themselves, not raw time-series) used to personalize your next week’s program, and (b) the workout-completed record we write back so your Apple Watch / Android fitness activity gets credit.

What we never do

  • Sell health data, share it with advertisers, or combine it with any third-party data broker.
  • Send raw health samples to the AI program generator. Only summary derived signals.
  • Use health data to train AI models.
  • Show your raw health samples to your gym’s admin staff.
