Terms of Service

Effective: June 2, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Yoke mobile application and yokeyourgym.com (the “Service”), operated by Yoke Fitness Services, LLC (“Yoke,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you’re under 18, your parent or guardian must accept these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Notify us immediately at hello@yokeyourgym.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Health, fitness, and medical disclaimer

Yoke is a fitness programming tool. It is not a medical device, medical advice, or a substitute for professional medical guidance.

  • Consult a physician before starting any exercise program, especially if you have known health conditions, are pregnant or postpartum, or have recently had surgery or injury.
  • The programs delivered through the Service are generated by an AI system using the Yoke exercise library. They are designed for general fitness; they are not personalized medical rehabilitation, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • You are responsible for using equipment safely, applying appropriate form, scaling load appropriately, and stopping immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, or unusual symptoms.
  • Heart rate, sleep, and other biometric signals shown in the app are for informational purposes only and are not clinical readings.

4. The AI-generated program

Programs are produced by an AI system (Anthropic Claude). The AI is constrained to the equipment you tell us you have access to and the Yoke exercise library — it does not invent exercises or equipment you don’t have. AI output can still be wrong. Use your judgment. If a workout looks unsafe or impractical for you, skip it and contact us at support@yokeyourgym.com.

5. Mid-workout substitution

The app lets you swap an exercise for an alternative mid-workout. Substitutions are constrained to exercises your selected equipment supports, but the safety / suitability of any specific swap is your responsibility.

6. Your equipment selection

You tell Yoke what kind of setup you train with and can fine-tune the exact equipment list at any time in the app. Your programs are built only from what you’ve selected. Keeping that list accurate is your responsibility — it’s what keeps your programming realistic.

7. Acceptable use

  • Don’t reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to access other members’ data.
  • Don’t upload anything illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that violates anyone’s rights.
  • Don’t use the Service to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
  • Don’t bypass rate limits or attempt to overwhelm the infrastructure.

8. Intellectual property

Yoke owns the Service, its source code, its UI, the exercise library structure, and the Yoke brand. You retain ownership of any content you submit (intake answers, notes, ratings). You grant Yoke and your Gym a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content as needed to deliver the Service.

9. Subscription & fees

Yoke is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. You choose a plan (for example, monthly or annual) in the app, and payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase.

  • Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Managing and cancelling.You manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s account settings (App Store or Google Play) after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
  • Free trials and offers. If a plan includes a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Introductory or promotional offers apply only as described at the time of purchase.
  • Refunds. Payments are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their refund policies. Contact them for refund requests.
  • Price changes. We may change subscription prices; changes apply to renewals after we notify you, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.

Some accounts may receive complimentary access (for example, promotional or referral credit). Complimentary access does not auto-renew and may end at any time.

10. Termination

You can delete your account any time from inside the app (Settings → Delete account). We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals; deleting your account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE FREE OF INACCURACIES.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOKE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID YOKE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Yoke harmless from any claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms when the Service materially changes. Continued use after we post an update means you accept the change. If the change reduces your rights materially, we’ll notify you in advance.
